Your sister-in-law just called to confide in you. She’s beside herself and doesn’t know where to turn.
They will barely be able to make their house payment this month. On top of that, they will need to figure out how to make payments on their cars and credit cards. They’re in their "middle years" and life should be getting easier, not tougher….
They haven’t wanted to let anyone know how desperate they’ve become - it would be too embarrassing. How did they get so "upside down"? They make "good money", but it seems all their expenses kept going up while their income stayed the same. So, they charged more, they used their house as an ATM - now reality is they may need to move in with relatives to get back on their feet. She’s so depressed, and all this is taking a toll on their relationship too….
Sound far fetched? Unfortunately, it may be happening to more people you know than you think. Or, maybe it’s happening to you, and 2008 is your year to get things back on track. Wouldn’t it be a terrific feeling to never worry about something like this happening?
The good news is that there is a way to re-create yourself financially. By linking into a proven, powerful, and automated marketing system you can erase years of poor financial habits - it’s not too late - for you (or your sister-in-law)

This past weekend I was in Phoenix, Arizona attending an incredibly informative conference for Internet marketing. It was an event sponsored by co-founders of Carbon Copy Pro , Jay Kubassek and Aaron Parkinson. These two young men make more money in a month than most people can even begin to imagine making in a year! True visionaries and entrepreneurs! Those of you not yet familiar with "CCPro" , it is a turnkey marketing system that does "the selling" for you. It’s based on the premise that systems work, people fail. They’ve taken out the possibility for failure by designing an online system that incorporates all of the following:
Ø No buying leads
Ø No selling
Ø No telling
Ø No calling
Ø No prospecting
Ø No follow ups
Ø No cold calling
Ø No closing
It’s automated and takes the real hard work out of the equation!
The conference though wasn’t to address these features and how to use them, as they already exist. We heard from other top experts in the field of Internet marketing and Web 2.0. Entrepreneurs such as Jimmy Davis & Dennis Karganilla of MLM Goldmine. Cherie Yvette of The Urban Cowgirl. Jeffery Combs of Goldenmastermind, and Howie Schwartz who explained how to dominate the search engines. There were other top speakers and guests as well. This event gave all of us who attended so much information to leave with and put into action! Don’t you just love it when something is worth every penny you paid for it? Let me know what marketing systems are working for you and your home based business.

I’ve recently read there are three types of investors:
1. People who don’t invest at all
They may be the ones who feel they’re "entitled" to support from the government, or the companies they’ve worked for. Some might even expect their families to help out. Most certainly, this group has no desire to learn how to take care of themselves and their future.
2. People who invest to not lose
They are generally low risk takers. They want their money safe in CD’s or money market accounts. They might even allow their employers to choose for them where to place their 401K monies. This group usually does some research on their own, but it either intimidates them, or they just have absolutely no interest in managing their own money.
3. People who invest to win
This group doesn’t settle for "safe". They want higher returns and are willing to put forth the effort to learn more about various opportunities and investment vehicles available to them to participate in.
To quote Kiyosaki, "I realized the reason most people invest not to lose is because most people think investing is risky or that investing is gambling. Many also believe that to get higher returns means you have to take on more risk. Nothing could be further from the truth."
The key is to use "leverage", which is difficult to do if you’re an investor like #1 or #2. You need to create an asset base that will grow exponentially. Create multiple streams of income, so combined they work together, even when you’re not. As an "employee" you trade time for dollars and will only be able to earn as much as your hours worked. But leverage "yourself" by becoming a business owner (even part time to begin with), and an investor - and the entire scenario can change.
What would you do if you had more time and money? What is really important to you? I recently explored these questions with one of my clients. He attended a recent company event - had an "AHA" moment, and decided he wanted to be like investor #3. Of course, he heard from some of the best in the industry at that event, and his life will never be the same. Contact me if you’re interested in exploring those questions too…..

Setting up a home business office is slightly different than telecommuting for an employer. Many times employers will provide assistance with ensuring your equipment and “environment” are set up to be productive as well as ergonomically correct. As a small business owner you are now responsible for all of this. But before we discuss the placement of equipment, I’d like to point out a few other factors for your consideration while you embark on your new journey. Here are some of the “Pros” of working from home and taking the plunge!

This past weekend we hosted our annual "Lake County" ride and BBQ. A group of us have been riding (Harley’s) together for many years and this particular ride we’ve now done for 10.
We began the trek on Saturday from Danville, Ca, and rode into the wine country, through almond orchards, and around Lake Berryessa. It was a bit hazy this year, but still great weather for a ride. We then ended the day back at our placed for a BBQ. There were 18 of us this year…. a great group and lots of fun!
Here’s a shot of the Lake (a big water skiing destination) and again, just like last week the picture was taken from the back of the bike…

We ended our weekend by seeing our close friend, Laurie DeSeguirant, perform with a Big Band paying a tribute to Old Blue Eyes. It was called Simply Sinatra and Laurie sang and performed brilliantly. The band backing him were Jim Franz, Jan Nichols, Gordon Rowley, Bob Scott, John Nichols, and Dave Tidball. They have performed with greats such as Tom Jones, The Drifters, Liberace, Michael Jackson, Sammy Davis Jr., Ella Fitzgerald, Willie Nelson, Frank Sinatra himself, and many others.
A good weekend and now regenerated again, to roll right into a productive week!
Until next time - J.

The chances in todays economy are you will become the "new" poor, unless you decide to become the "new" rich. The middle class is disappearing, with so many people not prepared for the future.
As Kiyosaki has said, "Identifying a problem creates the opportunity for creating a solution." We’ve all read and are aware the majority of the baby-boom generation doesn’t have enough wealth to retire as they thought and hoped they would. Unfortunately, many are of the "entitlement" mentality. Their parents may have had a pension and Social Security, so they think they will too. However, our Social Security and Medicare systems are in serious trouble, but many are still counting on it to be there. Their meager savings won’t be enough to retire. Instead of educating themselves and creating a "Plan B" for themselves - they are being ostrich’s with their heads in the ground!
We have a growing trade deficit, growing U.S. national debt, and a falling dollar, while oil and food prices continue to climb. It’s time for more people to become personally responsible for themselves. There are many opportunities for people to supplement or increase their income through starting small side businesses or a home based business. Learn to invest money wisely, and as importantly learn to manage your own finances.
