Lifestyle, Travel & Owning Your Own Business
A benefit of owning your own (home-based business ) is the flexibility it provides. If you’re in a business that offers multiple streams of income and is one you can set to "auto-pilot" at times, you can have a lifestyle that some only dream about. If travel is one of your favorite past times you can even be making money while seeing some sites.
So, that’s what we did this past weekend! With the weather warming up, it’s Harley season and we like to keep those wheels turning. I constantly remind myself how blessed we are to be able to get away as often as we do to regenerate ourselves. There are some National Parks on our list of places to visit this year, so we started with Sequoia National Park a couple of hours from our friends’ house in Visalia, Ca.
The trip started by driving through orchards of oranges, pomegranates, and olives. The oranges smelled so sweet from the bikes! As we headed up the mountain the wildflowers catch your eye as do all of the lacy Dogwoods in bloom. As the elevation climbed our jackets were getting zipped up tighter, and the enormous "giant" redwoods seemed to get larger with every turn. Here’s a picture of a "small one", which would still need about 10 people finger tip to tip to go around the circumference.

After a great lunch at the lodge, we traversed back down the mountain through more redwoods, back through the oak tress and to more orchards. The microclimates are amazing.
What’s more amazing though is our ability to take the time to create a life for ourselves while we make a living! (Yes, our online business is still working for us while we are out playing).
Please leave a comment and share your experiences of balancing business and pleasure.
Until next time, J.
