How Well Do You Know Your Audience?
I came across a really good article today regarding article marketing and how important it is to “know your audience” before you start writing. Otherwise, it’s sort of like throwing something at the wall to see if it sticks…. The tips provided by Brad McGovern might be considered common sense, but it’s surprising how many times they’re forgotten. Here’s his recommendations:
“Before you ever begin writing your article, you must know and understand your reader. Answer these questions before you are ready to put pen to paper:
• Why is the reader there?
• How did they get there?
• What are they looking for and expecting?
• How much about the topic do they already know?
• What is their goal?
That’s a good bit of information needed by you just to be ready to begin writing. The easiest way to answer them is to become that customer you were.”
Here’s the balance of the post and how to fast track your article marketing.

Good Question. Sometimes I wonder if I should just write and they will come or should I write to a specific audience.
