It’s not uncommon for this time of year to focus on goal setting and strategy implementation for the beginning of the next year. This article by Rich Schefren touches on the process of how to come up with those items. I was amused by his stating he has a list of 62 items to incorporate into his "New Year’s list. I too, have numerous things to accomplish so the key is at the end of his article…. be sure and schedule the items in. As with many "resolutions" there can be a tendency to come out of the shoot, full of enthusiasm, only to tucker out after a few months - so be realistic with your time and pace yourself. Example: I use the first few months to focus primarily on my business goals, and then add my "personal" goals during the second quarter….and continue to add thereafter.

I discovered long ago that if I wanted to continually improve my company and my own performance I need to leverage my past experience for all it’s worth. Stated more simply - to make 2009 the best it can be, you need to continue reading »

1. Thou Shalt Take Action
Reading about how to improve your personal finances is a start, but it has absolutely no meaning if you don’t take the action of putting what you learn into motion. Before you can get anywhere with your personal finances, you need to begin — right now. When I say "These" I mean the 8 proven goal setting steps . Goal setting is important to do in all areas of ones life such as family goals, spiritual, social, physical, educational, and financial. We’re going to be addressing business goals though and the impact they have. For those of you building a successful home based business this is even more critical as you are the main one responsible for your business being profitable .
You should begin by asking yourself "why" you want to achieve a particular goal as you create your list. If it’s something someone else thinks you should have as a goal, but you don’t, the likelihood of your following it through is slim. Your goals will become one of the drivers of your belief system , so make them real to you.
The key is to have reachable / achievable goals that will make you stretch. The objective of them are to keep you focused and on track. Large and small businesses alike use them.
Your goals should include each of these 8 steps: continue reading »

I read a blog this morning titled "Out of Control " by Kip Herriage who I respect immensely. In his article he points out some very unsettling economic news related to the stock market, employment, and the future in general. While I am not including this to create any panic, but an additional source of awareness. Read his "point of view" and you decide how to react. Go to www.kipherriage.com
Let me know what you think and how you will be prepared.
Until next time, J.

This article was written by Andrew Cass, Senior VP of Marketing at CarbonCopyPRO. I’m including it today because it is on the mark and worthy of your review, on numerous levels.
As we enter a whole "new economy" (some call it a recession), THE #1 and THE #2 skills, hands down, in the "new economy" will be…….
1. Money - how it works, how it flows, and more important….. how it will work for you in the "new economy". More wealth will be lost in the years ahead than at any time in history, however…. even more wealth can be created . This is the way it has ALWAYS worked in history and this is the way it ALWAYS will work. The good news is you get to decide which side of the fence you are on, contrary to popular belief…. but where has popular belief gotten anyone?
2. Internet Marketing - how to position yourself and/or your product on the World Wide Web in front of MILLIONS each and every day so you can create unlimited, virtually automated income, 24/7 and make money while continue reading »

Every day the headlines talk about a new company that has reported less than desirable earnings, and are now requesting support from the government. The domino effect has been created and it’s global. Some time back I mentioned a movie that has been playing around the country in select cities called I.O.U.S.A. I now have the book and will be reading it over the next couple of weeks. I’ll let you know my thoughts when I finish it.
Meanwhile, I thought Kip Herriage (The CEO & Founder of Wealth Masters Int’l) had an interesting post on his blog yesterday. He wrote: continue reading »

I’m talking about in the directories…. Are you listed with major search engines ? If not you should be, as many people search the directories for businesses. Some of these directories are free , while some require a small fee , but I suggest you get listed with as many as possible because they are effective . Listings with directories also create those wanted back links to your site as well, which will help with your "organic" rankings. There are literally thousands of sites you can be listed with, but here are a few you can springboard off of: continue reading »

We touched on writing articles the other day as being one strategy to generating more leads and customers. This is a great way to create back links and exposure to your website. Have you ever met or known someone who is living in retirement the way you have dreamed of? Do you have a "role model" that you can talk with, and see how they accomplished their dream?
I’ve been blessed to have observed very closely such a couple - my parents.
Each Fall they always take an adventure trip for at least a month. They are currently in Egypt riding camels, riding in a hot air balloon at sunrise over the pyramids, and cruising down the Nile river. Wow! Do I want to experience life like that, by being a participant versus an observer! continue reading »
