I think many people who respond to home based business opportunities are actually looking for a j.o.b. and not looking to be in business for themselves.
Here’s a few of the differences (in my opinion)….
A home based job and those looking for one:
Something you do for someone else, and they dictate your time, method of completion and compensation
This person usually wants to take no monetary risk and wants a guarantee that they will see a "return on investment" (ROI) within a matter of weeks
The CCPro Marketing event was presented to a full house this past Saturday and the line up of speakers had everyone on the edge of their chairs. Literally! The room was so full, there wasn’t space for tables. We were all sitting shoulder to shoulder with notepads in our laps.
Aaron Parkinson and Jay Kubassek, the co-founders of Carbon Copy Pro have embraced the fact that marketing is not just about selling. It’s about building a relationship or "Attraction Marketing ". There is no better authority on this than Mike Dillard who is the author of Magnetic Sponsoring . I highly recommend his programs. While he wasn’t an official speaker at the event this time - the day focused on the principles he teaches.
What? Define my target audience? I thought marketing online meant determining a few good keywords, running some ads, placing a dozen banners, and then people would find my site and buy. Viola! While that might have worked for a few folks a number of years ago when marketing online was fairly new, NOW it’s a whole new world! Admit it. You’ve thought about your retirement plan - right? So what’s the number you came up with to live comfortably? You may need to consider a home based business….
Chances are you said something much larger than $25,000 I bet. But did you know that according to the Employee Benefit Research Institute 60% of current retirees have less than $25,000 in savings and investments?
Excuse me!? But, how do they do it? Sure, they may be receiving Social Security and Medicare benefits, but can you imagine going into your Golden years "unprepared" ? How do you travel, treat the grandkids, and explore your hobbies, not to mention potential health related issues?
Those in the workforces need a reality check too! The same survey shows that 36% of workers have less than $10,000 in savings.
If you’re not able to plan for your future with the salary you’re currently making it may be time to start a home based business . Begin slow (part time) to supplement your income and then invest it for your future. There are many tax advantages that may surprise you as well.
