Back to the Future….

August 12th, 2008 -- Posted in Home Business Ideas, Marketing Tips, Retirement, Wealth Strategies | 1 Comment »

My Mastermind Advisory meetings the past few days were full of great discussions and planning sessions, so in general a success and worthwhile!

What was also a success and worthwhile was the event I attended the week before last in Las Vegas. The Wealth Masters Int’l M2 conference , which over the next few days I’ll provide you with highlights of their plans for the future….

One topic "unveiled" was a magazine which was primarily about WMI. Success Magazine has now come out with a "sister" publication by the name of Empower . Each issue features a direct selling company and discusses the career alternatives that offer people flexibility as well as financial and personal growth . The most recent publication (64 pages) was devoted to how Wealth Masters is "changing one person at a time", and explains the "Big Picture" of the company, products, and top producers such as Jay Kubassek, Michael Force, Elaine Love and Andrew Cass . There are also articles about Robert Kiyosaki and Paul Zane Pilzer who whole heartedly support and believe in the Network Marketing industry .

Grab a copy and take a look! If you can’t find one on your newsstands drop me an email with your name and address and I’ll get one to you :-)

Until next time, J.

Why We Want You to be Rich

July 24th, 2008 -- Posted in Book Review, Home Business Ideas, Retirement, Time Management, Wealth Strategies | No Comments »

"Why We Want You to be Rich " is a New York Times best seller by Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki . I was initially hesitate to read it because I didn’t think the two men could possibly come from the "same place" and work as a team. But their sub -title "Two Men - One Message" says it all…. they really did come across as a team.

I have found myself referencing comments and quotes frequently from this book, because their perspective and insight on world affairs and our economy is eye opening. They hit things right on the head such as the "entitlement mentality " I mention at times. Those people who expect their employers, families, or countries to take care of them. Both of these men are on a mission to help educate people in our society through "financial education "…. the only way to solve our countries money problems.

One of the quotes from the book, "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach him to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime."

I would encourage you to get a copy and read it for yourself . There are some good "How To’s" in the book in getting you started on the right path to educating yourself. Your future depends on you!
Please leave a comment about your thoughts on their perspective and if it got you "thinking"… :-)

PS - To make it easy for you to order…. you can use the info below or there is an Amazon icon / box to your left if you’d like something else. You can enter the book name and order it from there!

Until next time, J.

Unemployment Rate Jumped to 5.5 Percent

June 6th, 2008 -- Posted in Home Business Ideas, Wealth Strategies | 1 Comment »

This is the kind of negative news that the general public gets very nervous about reading. It also causes some people to freeze, become immobile, feel like a victim, and bottom line NOT TAKE ACTION to do something for themselves. To reference Trump and Kiyosaki again, they stress that we, as individuals MUST take responsibility for ourselves . In Kiyosaki’s quadrant example he explains why you won’t get rich by "playing it safe" as an employee, or as a self-employed individual because you can’t leverage yourself (and time). He recommends owning a business (current favorite - Network Marketing ), and becoming an active investor .

Here’s some sobering news quoted from an article today on MSN.
"The nation’s unemployment rate jumped to 5.5 percent in May — the biggest monthly rise since 1986.

A trio of crises — housing, credit and financial — have rocked the economy. That’s caused economic growth to slow to a crawl as businesses and consumers have tightened their belts. Spiraling energy costs are another negative force.

“For the average American there is not debate that the economy is in a recession,” said Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody’s Economy.com. “That’s because their net worth is lower, their purchasing power is lower and it is tough to find a job. If you lose a job, it is tough to get back in,” he said." Go HERE to read more.

What better time than now, to do something for yourself and not rely on others. Find your passion and look for a business to support that. Not only could it be the best financial decision you’ve made in a long time, it could also provide you with the freedom and balance in your life you’ve been looking for as well. What do you have to lose?

I’d love to hear your comments about creating your own opportunities in today’s economy. :-)

Until next time, J.
