Making Money On The Road Again

September 8th, 2008 -- Posted in Another Welcomed Weekend, Time Management, Vacations and Fun, Wealth Strategies | No Comments »

I’ve said it before….. I am so blessed to have the opportunity to make a living while I travel! The only thing better is spending time with family, which I did this past weekend.

My parents, and my two brothers and their wife’s and I traveled to an area called Graeagle, California, for a reunion with friends and families we grew up with.  There were about 80-90 people there in total over the 3 days.  Many of these folks my brothers and I haven’t seen in 30 years.  A dear family friend hosted the event at their new "little log cabin".  The picture below doesn’t do it justice as that’s only half of the house in the picture!  We all rented places nearby and came there for the social gatherings.  We had a blast seeing everyone!

We did sneak away on Saturday afternoon for a quiet picnic away from the group.  We were at lower Sardine Lake at the base of the Butte mountain range….. breathtaking.

Here we are again, a little more cleaned up on Saturday evening … while my website was still driving traffic and working for me!  Life is good!

Leave a comment about some of your favorite weekend spots and/or lakes :-)

Until next time,  J.

Have You Asked Yourself How to be Successful?

September 5th, 2008 -- Posted in Home Business Ideas, Marketing Tips, Wealth Strategies | No Comments »

I was listening to a conference call yesterday that a colleague of mine, Greg McMahon was hosting. He had brought up a number of interesting points to ask yourself about being successful. First, he suggested looking at the word SUCCESS . There are three "S" in the word , which all represent an action.

  • The first "S" represents "Seeing yourself as being successful ". If you can’t visualize yourself having a profitable business and making money, it will be hard to get there. You need to believe you can.
  • The second "S" represents "Setting goals ". This applies to short term, long term, financial, personal, etc. If you don’t have a target you won’t know if you’re on track
  • The third "S" represents "Sustaining the effort ". This might be one of the hardest to do, because at times when you become disillutioned and lose your focus, that is the exact time, you need to sustain your efforts and keep moving forward.

He also mentioned asking yourself 3 questions that might help during the process. These are:

  • Where have you been?
  • Why are you here?
  • Where are you going?

Thanks Greg, for the insightful call!
