It’s not uncommon for this time of year to focus on goal setting and strategy implementation for the beginning of the next year. This article by Rich Schefren touches on the process of how to come up with those items. I was amused by his stating he has a list of 62 items to incorporate into his "New Year’s list. I too, have numerous things to accomplish so the key is at the end of his article…. be sure and schedule the items in. As with many "resolutions" there can be a tendency to come out of the shoot, full of enthusiasm, only to tucker out after a few months - so be realistic with your time and pace yourself. Example: I use the first few months to focus primarily on my business goals, and then add my "personal" goals during the second quarter….and continue to add thereafter.

I discovered long ago that if I wanted to continually improve my company and my own performance I need to leverage my past experience for all it’s worth. Stated more simply - to make 2009 the best it can be, you need to continue reading »

What? Define my target audience? I thought marketing online meant determining a few good keywords, running some ads, placing a dozen banners, and then people would find my site and buy. Viola! If you aren’t defining WHO you’re targeting, you are WASTING advertising dollars. Those of you who are marketing for FREE on Web 2.0 social sites are wasting continue reading »

Think of it, a job you love and plenty of money….. what’s the old saying - "Do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life?" Why then do so many of us stay in unfulfilling jobs? Especially now with so much unpredictable volatility around us. Possibly that’s why continue reading »

If you have previewed any of the videos I have completed and posted on YouTube , you know one of them addresses my difficulties with technology and the intuitiveness of it (or lack of)! I found this great little device that makes it easy though….. even for me! It’s called a Flip Ultra Camera - here are some of it’s benefits:
- It’s lightweight and fits into your pocket
- It uses a couple of batteries so never needs charging (60 minute play time)
- The speaker and photo quality is decent (not professional quality, but good)
- Built into the camera is a program which converts videos into the correct format for uploading to YouTube (my favorite feature!)
- It connects directly to your computer with the "Flip" of a switch (I would recommend the accessory cable though - it will make it easier)
PS - To make it easy for you to order…. you can use the info below or there is an Amazon icon / box to your left if you’d like something else. You can enter the product name and order it from there!
Please leave a comment about what you use for creating videos - love to hear from you
Until next time, J.

I found a delightful site today with a post I’d like to share by Lisa Thomas ……
Lisa is the founder and president of the P3 Group whose vision is…”Every woman lives a life of power, passion and dreams come true.” Our mission is to reach 1,000,000 women to nurture their spiritual, emotional and physical selves by enhancing their personal and professional lives.
In her audio she explains how to "Be Still", and be present to get centered so you will be able to choose wisely. The 5 steps she discusses are:
- Be still / some might call it meditate
- Continue to notice your thoughts throughout the day
- Notice where you are going "physically" each day
- Is your space organized - are you comfortable in it
- Are you taking care of your body - eating right, exercising, regenerating
Ask yourself, what is your heart longing for?
Please leave me a comment about what your heart longs for and how you plan to achieve it
Until next time, J.
